Nate Sann, CRNP – Nate is our nurse practitioner. A nurse practitioner or NP is a registered professional nurse who is prepared, through advanced graduate education and clinical training, to provide a wide range of healthcare services, including the diagnosis and management of common as well as complex medical conditions to individuals of all ages. NPs diagnose and treat both acute and chronic conditions. They order, perform, interpret and supervise diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays; and they prescribe medications and other treatments.
Nate earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Scranton in 2000. Nate earned his Master’s degree in Nursing at Duquesne University in 2009. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army for 9 years.He has been working in the field of bariatric surgery and weight management for the since 2004. Nate also serves as a faculty member and proctor for Apollo Endosurgery, as well as a consultant for Exam Med. He is the past chair of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Integrated Health Communications Committee. He is currently serving on the ASMBS Integrated Health Executive Council.
